Not much to look at as it poured to almost no head. Fortunately, there is a nice combination of aromas with a bread-like yeast and fruity citrus most obvious. When first served, it was smooth and sweet. As it warmed, it took on a more traditional Belgian peppery flavor. Enjoyed on tap at Honeypie in Milwaukee.

On tap at Old Fashioned. Clear amber with a thin white head. Aroma is lightly smoked and noble with pale malt, light toffee and a touch of banana. Taste is on the milder side with fruity notes, banana, ginger, yeast and mild pine with a sweeter finish.

"Orange, no head but lotsa lacing. Fruity palate for sure, bubblegum, peaches and other tropical fruits on the nose. Light at first, but cleans off sweet and spicey blend. Had some Vietnamese food later on that night, i wonder if that would have been a good combo together...? Really nice beer, one of my favorites from the tasting. "

On tap at brewery, I was told this was a Belgian IPA when they poured it for me, pours a clear amber with a decent white head and some lacing through out the glass, aroma is overall sweet with candi sugar and some fruit notes in it, flavor was more of spices and candi sugar than hops, has somewhat of a dry finish, not the best thing I’ve had at Vintage but sure is interesting.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 madvike (2077) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 7, 2010
On tap at the Grand Opening - Pours amber with a small white head. Smells of coriander, orange peel, and melon. It’s light and fresh, and very fruity. I expected lots of hops on the first sip, but there’s not much there. It’s more fruity and yeasty, with melon and light spice. Smooth and velvety in the mouth, I’d like to revisit this one again.

On draught at the Vintage Brewing Company’s Grand Opening on May 2, 2010 in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a clear copper amber colored brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind some nice lacing. Aroma of Belgian yeast, a hint of candi sugar, banana esters, some light caramel malt, and a hint of lemon zest. Taste is medium to full bodied, soft carbonation with flavors of belgian yeast, some banana esters, caramel and a touch of spice. Finish continues the mild spiciness and then a mild bitterness that quickly disappears.

pours a reddish gold, clear and a thick white head. Up front lemon aroma. Up front lemon flavor, some hop bitterness, and malt sweetness. Light body, slightly dry finish. You have to like lemons, but it’s not overwhelming. Very interesting beer
