Pours black with a thick tan head. Good rye and roasted malt aroma. Good rye flavor followed by roasted malts. Medium body, light bitter finish. Not bad. I’d add some sourness, but this is a well done porter.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewpub - Pours a dark cola with a big foamy off-white head. Aroma is a bit of dark roast and smoke, with chocolate and a touch of lactose. Taste is chocolate that’s dried out a bit from the nutty rye, resulting in a really smooth, lightly roasted flavor that’s neither too sweet or too dry. Yum. Has a sort of powdery grittiness that’s very pleasant, but pretty thin and watery in the mouth. Would definitely order this one again.
