Tap at Big Barrel Tararrel 2014. Pretty tasty. Chocolate, caramel, graham cracker. Amber edged black bod. Sweet, solid Imperial Stout. Well done.

Draft at the source. Pitch black. Nose of velvety chocolate, fudge, mild oak, vanilla, and a touch of whiskey. Flavor is pretty whiskey forward with chocolate, roast malt, vanilla, and oak. Smooth and rich. Lingering whiskey, oak and chocolate. If the barrel would have been slightly more dialed back in the flavor department, this would have been top-notch. A pretty darn good effort.

On draft at Vintage. Smell the rye. Nice dark appearance. Taste the rye in all portions of the mouth but come out silky smooth despite the 10.5%.

Draft. Booze notes in the smell and flavor, flavor is not as big and roasty as one woudl expect butvery barrel-forward.

On tap at Vintage Brewpub Big Barrel Tararrel. 2010 Vintage. Dark brown with a thick tan topper. Aroma of rye, bourbon, chocolate and dark roasted malts. Taste of rye and chocolate with bourbon, dark roasted malt and a touch of alcohol. Smooth with mild warming, this one was very enjoyable.
