On tap at Vintage. Poured hazy medium amber with a light off-white head. The aroma picked up warm, juicy darker fruit and caramel upfront with tangier rye and earth behind.. loved it. The flavor found juicy darker fruits and caramel topped by spicy white pepper, rye, and floral bitterness.. sharp and really, really bitter on the finish. Medium-bodied and spicy as mentioned on the palate.. OK feel and flow.

On cask drawn at the Vintage brewpub in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a clear copper amber colored brew with a creamy white head that has some excellent retention and lacing. Aroma of of citrus, a touch of caramel with some toffee, green vegetables and a very faint sulfur. Taste is quite smooth, well balanced in malt (caramel and dry rye) with some floral hops character which is noticeable with Summit hops. Finish has a mild medicinal and acidic bitterness with a some soft caramel malt and floral hop profile. August must by Rye Month at Vintage Brewing Co. Vintage Rye Porter, Rye of Tiger, and now RyePA. I now need to make a trip to Baumgartens in Monroe, WI for limburger on rye with red onions to complete my rye fix.
