Delicious stout with a nice hop presence. I get a lot of coffee both in the aroma and upon drinking the beer. A sweet chocolate flavor lingers with the hops on the finish. When I’m not exploring the constantly changing menu at Vintage, I always fall back to this brew.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a black with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of roast and dark grains with a bit of molasses and coffee. Flavor starts with dark grains and roast and has a good amount if molasses with some coffee in the finish.

At the brewery before the penn state Wisconsin game. Go Penn State. Pours an non translucent black with a thick darn head that leaves a ring. Smell is chocolately with roasted malt and oatmeal. The taste is heavy on the oatmeal that gives why to a dark chocolate finish with some coffee. Very nice beer best one I’ve had here. Well done.

Growler pour thanks to cbfobes! Dark black pour, little carbonation and a good dark sweet roasted malt aroma. Flavor is sliky dark chocolate, a little coffee and finished dry with what seems like a little bit of hops. Very good, I would definitely buy this if in the area.

Sampler at vintage.... Pours a ’vintage’ solid stout pour wit less intense edges and topped with a thin creamy light tan head... Roasty chocolate nose. Standard but solid... Smooth semi-sweet roasted malt and chocolate. Little ash underneath and a touch of roasty bitterness on the backend. Lightto medium bodied but smooth.
