COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our latest German-style lager is brewed in the maibock tradition, with a classic malt profile in balance with a slightly spicy yet refined Tettnanger hop presence. So crisp and refreshing, youll be amazed how gracefully it carries its strength.

Served in a tall glass. Filtered amber-tan. Steady off-white head. True aroma, slightly pungent malty aroma, balanced by a steady peppery noble hop backbone. Lots of smooth lager tones, this is really well done. Remains highly drinkable even with the substantial ABV. Doughy, bready mouthfeel. Rather subdued carbonation. Quite well executed, delicious.

On cask drawn at the Vintage brewpub in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear golden pale colored brew with a thick off-white head that has some nice retention and lacing. Aroma of golden grain malt, a hint of honey, yeast and some floral hops. Taste is medium bodied, some fruity character with golden grain malt and some apple. Finish is semi-sweet with a hint of yeast and alcohol aftertaste. A solid heller bock.

On tap at the brewpub - Pours light amber with a thin off white head. Smells lightly fruity and floral on top of the yeasty maltiness. Taste is grainy, with sharp herbal hops that transition into a sweeter, breadier taste. Light toasted bread with a yeasty finish that lasts forever-yum. Lightly warming, well-carbonated and pretty full bodied. Very solid.

Cask at Vintage. Pours a medium gold with a sticky white head. Suffers from reduced carbonation, imo. Nose is much fruitier than Id expect with some hop notes comimg through as well. Bready malts are underlying. On taste, full robust maltiness that gets obscured by the above average hopping rate. Clean and fresh with some more of the fruity notes. Pretty solid beer, if out of style.

On tap at brewery, pours a clear golden with a nice white head, aroma is of sweet malt with a sourness of green apples on the nose as well, the flavor was sweeter than I was expecting, nice fruity middle with a crisp clean finish, some alcohol in the finish but overall is enjoyable.
