12oz bottle, very sweet, almost Barleywine aroma. Weird, party with little redeeming qualities. Lame.

Pours a dark colden copper/amber color with golden orange hues when held to a light and a frothy one finger yellowish beige head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. Sporadic spots of lace left behind.
Slightly toasted caramel malt aroma with hints of toffee, biscuit and faint earthy hops.
Medium bodied and much fuller than expected. Most of the carribean "craft" beers Iíve had so far have been slightly amped up macros/adjuncts but thi beer is pretty complex and well crafted. There a soft, crisp hop flavor up front that provides slight dryness/bitterness which lingers throughout over the sweet malt backbone into a dry finish. The hops are quickly countered mid-palate by a sweet malt backbone with hints of caramel, rye, toffee and biscuit. Very well balanced and although itís darker/heavier than expected, this beer is very quaffable in this tropical climate.

Had this on a boat in St. Thomas in a bottle. I thought it was pretty good, had a nice hint of malt in flavor. It went down rather smooth and was very drinkable.

Bottle. Poured am amber copper. Looks and smells like a Scottish ale. Decently carbonated and thin bodied. Some sweet and bitter notes with typical malt and butterscotch flavors Scottish ale qualities. Decent.

Thanks to PilsnerPeter for the brew. Rich amber pour. The nose is quite malty with lots of chewy, sweet, caramelly toffee and rich malt. There is a kiss of light earthiness and even some herbal character. Itís quite fresh and sweet tasting. There is a kiss of diacetyl as it starts to warms up. Surprisingly tasty amber ale.
