1.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Poured golden. Smelled like a barley wine. High expectations. Tasted nothing like it smelled. They ahold call this beer "butter face"
Tasted like someone steeped some grass in water. It was cold though.

Bottle. Super cool label. Pours brown with zero head. Smells like pickles? It's a sweet brown ale.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle watching the fire ladies on St Croix. Initially big mouthfeel, tastes more than the standard lagers in these parts. Eeek sugary malty sweet. Agree with the review that says underfermented, actually tastes like homebrew from a cheap extract, doesn’t ferment out fully. Quite cloying, not ideal for the local weather. The fire dancers were good though.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Poured from a 12oz brown bottle into a nonic glass, thanks for sharing, Tony. It poured a clear amber colour with weak off-white foam. Very sweet, which is apparently the popular local style in the Virgin Islands. Reminiscent of caramel candies, corn syrup, molasses, rum. Medium-heavy body, sticky mouthfeel, lots of residual sweetness into the aftertaste too. Decent and drinkable, but not my kinda thing.

Light brown. Very sweet. Almost tastes underfermented but might be t the style they like there. Not too heavy. Thanks Tony bretz.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A very under rated beer! It pours copper w/ a white head that quickly fades into a lot of lacing. The aroma is a little spicy & almost a hint of Belgian. The taste is very well balanced w/ a hint of fruitiness that sets it apart from standard ambers. Interesting yet pleasant!

Self listed as an amber ale. Malty aroma. Lots of white lace on yellow golden. A little astringent, and corn. Bitter, even a tad sour and not so drinkable. I could have this on a 100 Fahrenheit day in a pinch. Thanks for sharing Josh.

Pretty astringent for amber with some residual sourness at the end. Pours amber. Not much hops or anything. Looks ok for style though. Bottle from store in St. John.
