This beer produces a slight sour mash smell that tingles the nose. This beer consists of a golden-orange color and boasts a good head. The taste is flat and only offers a gentle taste of hops that fades fast.

I am not a big fan of ales, BUT I tried this when I was in St. Thomas simply because it is brewed there. It soon became the staple drink the whole time I was there. Just wish they were not such a small brewery and could massproduce this beer and import it to the states more often.

Wow! I was pretty impressed when I got my hands on one of these, which wasn’t easy, since it was sold out of the first three bars we tried to get it at! Great color, the ibtter was perfect for washing out the sands of the day. Went very well with both barbeque and fish and everything in between. Best ale I’ve had in a long time.

bottle. Poured dark copper with a creamy beige head. Caramel malt aroma. Full mouthfeel, smooth carbonation. Roasty, dark fruit, malt flavour. A little citrus and wood in the finish.

Location: On the beach, St. Thomas Late December ’08.
Overall Impression:
This was a great beach beer. I might be rating it too high (but c’mon it’s hard not to enjoy something on a 90 degree day in December on a beach!), but it was perfect for the setting.

Nice laced head on copperness. Sweet hoppy nose. Flavors are lightly hopped, lightly acidic. Decent beer.

Someone smuggled this to me from the VI. Fresh aroma, flavor of burnt malt with a hop or two in there somewhere. This stuff has a great feel & finish to it, and may be one of the better summer/lawnomwer beers I've tried.

Pours amber with a creamy white head. Smells of sweet malt, some spice, roses, hints of caramel, touches of earthiness, doughy. Tastes nutty with some sweet malt, some yeasty hints, touches of spice. Finish yields a nice lasting sweetness.

12oz bottle, John’s Pass, Florida: Poured amber brown, opaque, with an almost non-existent white head. Aroma of sour orange concentrate, Meyer lemons, toffee, oak and rum. Surprising taste as I wasn’t expecting much but was met with lots of toffee, coffee cake, brown sugar and gold rum. Wasn’t expecting to enjoy it but I actually did, go figure.

Copper-colored with an orange tinge. Head fades fairly quickly. Starts smooth and fruity; finishes rich and bitter. Hoppy bitterness lingers, leaving behind some decent flavors. Initially, feels a little watery and bland, but the flavors quickly fill your mouth before you have a chance to complain.
