Commercial Description:
Brown Ale is a dark and full-bodied ale inspired by the historical brown ales of London. The complex malt flavour has notes of chocolate and the roasted malt provides a fine after-taste. The mild proportioning of hops gives place for the malts which makes the beer highly suitable for meat courses, a cold buffet or as a beer to end a long day. Claus Tarstrup, Brewmaster

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy, orangey brown with a small, light brown head. Very malty aroma with a touch of nuts. Medium body with some roasted malts and a slightly burned touch. Rather dry - all the way through. 081006

Ølfestival Horsens 2006. It’s a dark brown ale with a nice and creamy head. the aroma has notes of roasted malt, just like the flavour, that also has notes of caramel and a bit of nuts and a nice bitterness. It’s a nice BA, and I adore the labels on the Virklund bottles - and this one is extra appropriate. 1636

Bottled. Reddish brown with some beige head. Roasted aroma with caramel and malt. The flavor is much the same. Medium body and a finish with some coffee-like bitterness. (060929)
