COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
RedStreak is a proper English style draft cider. With its hazy lemon hue, scent of ripe apples and just a touch of oak, RedStreak has a crisp, tart finish that pairs perfectly with your favorite mature cheddar. First discovered in Herefordshire in the 1630s, the Redstreak bittersharp apple produced a cider so delicious it was deemed to be ‘fit for kings.’ Whether paired or on its own, RedStreak Cider is your next drink.

On tap at the Hill Farmstead Harvest Festival VIP event, Vermont. Pours clear, very pale yellow. Lovely cider from start to finish. Moderately dry with fresh apples, light sugar, mild tartness. Moderate funk in there, light acidity. Stupidly clean and fresh. One of the best American ciders I’ve had.

Dry and crisp, light apple. Clean and crisp, smooth. A touch empty through the middle. Light acid, crisp and dry.

Draft in a sampler at the Clybourn brewpub. Pours almost clear, with a piss-yellow gold hue and no head. The aroma is sweat and apples with some sugary sweetness. The flavor is crisp, tart, refreshing apples and not as sweet or sweaty as the nose. Light-bodied, with surprisingly high carbonation on the palate for not seeing any in the glass. So-so cider.

Draft on tap at Goose Clybourn (Chicago, IL). Welcome Greg Hall to the fold again, folks. Pours a pale straw hue, champagne hued with just a touch of haze. Some gentle carbonation with a brighter white head that dies to a small ring, laces small. Aromas are crisp and bright apples, sweet and touches of tartness. Gentle funk, yeast, and gentle crisp straw. Rich apple, touches of fruit sugars. Initial is a touch fizzy, dry and prickly front offers some cotton, gentle apple, champagne yeast. Dry and effervescent with touches of apples, fruit sugar, red apples wit some mellow dryness, gentle funk and touches of spice. Dry and champagne based, lovely dryness with some gentle sweetness. Very champagne influenced, dry with gentle sweetness, light carbonation though. Quite striking. Lovely rich dryness, with mellow sweetness making it’s jabs. Red apple, a faint tartness into the backend and finish. Quality local fresh cider here that wins over someone that does indeed enjoy Champagne.

Draft at goose clybourn, pours very clear with a very pale straw color and no head. Aroma is bursting with fresh apples, touch oaky vanilla, vinho verdi like. Flavors is huge with fresh apples, nice apple crisp zingy tart character, oaky white wine character, earthy finish, long spritzy clean champagne esque finish. A lot like apple vinho verdi. Holy crap this is good.

NobleSquirrel (3286) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 30, 2012
Draft at GI clybourn. Pours an attractive pale gold with a nice mousse on top that fades reasonably quickly. Good flow of bubble. Nose starts with some light sulfur and a distinct fruity quality. Musty cellar and tartness in the nose, then sweetness and an almost savory note. The sulfur fades fast leaving a great floral apple blossom note. Really great. Medium prickly carbonation, light body. A bit more body would be fantastic. Good balance of sweetness and acidity. Great floral quality on taste witha persistent ripe apple character. Medium tartness and great fruit flavor. Pretty fantastic cider here.

Tulip pour at village tap... Crystal clear transparent gold pour, somewhat lively with some bubble action going on. Non-existent head... Aroma of semi-tart red apple meat and skin. Clean, dry, and crisp... Flavors are more of the same semi-tart refreshing red apple, lightly sweet. Not that oaky. To sound like a broken record, crisp clean refreshing and really drinkable. Light on the palate. Dry finish.
