COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
RedStreak is a proper English style draft cider. With its hazy lemon hue, scent of ripe apples and just a touch of oak, RedStreak has a crisp, tart finish that pairs perfectly with your favorite mature cheddar. First discovered in Herefordshire in the 1630s, the Redstreak bittersharp apple produced a cider so delicious it was deemed to be ‘fit for kings.’ Whether paired or on its own, RedStreak Cider is your next drink.

On tap at Revolution. Pours a crystal clear, pale yellow colored body with no head. Aroma is crisp and lightly tart apples with a touch of sweetness. A hint of oak and champagne. Flavor is similar. Clean and crisp apples with a light sweetness and tartness. A touch of oak again before this finishes dry and lightly tart with a hint of sweetness. Fairly lengthy aftertaste following a clean, crisp, light body and a champagne-ish carbonation. Overall, a really solid cider. Very fresh apples with a light tartness and touch of sweetness. Extremely easy to drink with a pleasant dryness. Pretty impressed.

On tap at Schuba’s Chicago. Pours slightly cloudy slightly irridescent green. Flavor is bright and tart with just a touch of sweetness and a light alcohol note. One of the best American ciders I’ve had and in fact beats many at their own game as it has a good balance of tartness and fizziness.

On tap at the VIP session at the 2012 Hill Farmstead Harvest Festival. Pours an almost clear straw hued gold with a thin white head. Bright sweet apple, light spicy tones and a hint of wood. Dry and crisp, light apple. Clean and crisp, smooth. A touch empty through the middle. Light acid, crisp and dry.

This poured a somewhat sparkling yellow color with a white head. Aroma was of light rotting apples, mainly freshly squeezed apples, and light wood notes. Flavor was a great balance in being not overly sweet, having great apple flavor and even a little raw rotteness to it as well. Pretty good cider.

Very pale straw color and strong beading with a white fizzy head. Strong tart apple nose. Champagne-esque carbonation...spritzy, sparkling, refreshing. Fresh tart apple flavor, with some hints of fresh pears. Pretty dry finish...not cloying at all, and very refreshing, A very encouraging first product from a welcome "new" local maker.

On tap at Revolution. Pours a clear pale yellow with visible carbonation but no head whatsoever. Aroma has a good amount of tart green apple witha strong backing dryness. Flavor is similar with tart green apple but has a bit of sweetness and a dry finish.

Draft at State&Lake at the Wit Hotel, downtown. I finally got to bite into a Virtue Cider. And on a hotel bar tap, too. Color is lighter than the lightest beer out there, with a short, fizzy head that’s gone as soon as you blink. Smell is kind of pale, with just a slight tang of apple juice. I found the taste to be rather light, with tart apple in the back of my throat, just a touch of sweetness. It resists your attempts to swig it down, inviting introspection instead. Seems very fully attenuated, although the abv is no more than most beers.

MicroGrog (240) - Slurping on Euro lager in Queens, New York, USA - OCT 30, 2012

Bottle shared @ Top Hops.
Pale, clear, ginger ale body. Somewhat active.
Perfumey pear & acidy apple peel on the nose. White wine.
Taste is bittersweet. Leafy/herbal. Soda fizz that dies pretty quickly. Touch of dessert apple sweetness. Somewhat yeasty. Small bit of tartness. Mellow acidity. Noticeable sulfites. Calcium/minerally dryness.
A bit too herbal for me. I don’t really get that old wood or hard water taste I associate with English ciders either. Pretty decent though. As long as the price tag is kept in check I will seek these ciders out.

17 nov 2012, tap. Very pale yellow, clear, no bubbles. Nose is faintly sweet, primarily tart apple cider. Thin body, dry and a bit fizzy. Really, really dry and really, really tart cider. Maybe faintly oaky. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
