COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
RedStreak is a proper English style draft cider. With its hazy lemon hue, scent of ripe apples and just a touch of oak, RedStreak has a crisp, tart finish that pairs perfectly with your favorite mature cheddar. First discovered in Herefordshire in the 1630s, the Redstreak bittersharp apple produced a cider so delicious it was deemed to be ‘fit for kings.’ Whether paired or on its own, RedStreak Cider is your next drink.

Draft at State&Lake at the Wit Hotel, downtown. I finally got to bite into a Virtue Cider. And on a hotel bar tap, too. Color is lighter than the lightest beer out there, with a short, fizzy head that’s gone as soon as you blink. Smell is kind of pale, with just a slight tang of apple juice. I found the taste to be rather light, with tart apple in the back of my throat, just a touch of sweetness. It resists your attempts to swig it down, inviting introspection instead. Seems very fully attenuated, although the abv is no more than most beers.

On tap at The Chicago Beer Festival 2014. Sparkling yellow with a very small white head. Aroma is faint - tart apples, yeast, acidic. Flavor is similar but a bit sweeter. Dry finish.

Sample at World of Beer Easton on 3/15/14. Clear yellow to blanc in color with no head. Aroma of dry white wine, apple and oak. Dry white wine flavor with an apple finish.

Tap at Bier Markt, shared with my wife, slightly tart and definitely too dry for her liking but I thought it was okay, nice drying finish.

Draft - I have tried a couple different batches of this , the most current is my favorite. Bright apple aromas, palate is pretty dry with only a bit of sweetness on the finish. Great session cider.

Draft to taster. Looks solid; a completely transparent light gold with no real lacing and very soft carbonation. Smells and tastes of tart apples and mild vinegar with a fairly dry mouthfeel. Not bad, but not my favorite example of the style.

Draft at Dutch’s. Pours a crystal clear light yellow color with no head. The aroma and flavor have apple cider notes, mild vinegar, tart apples, hints of a dry vinous character, some earthy notes with mild funk. Interesting, but I’m not completely sold on cider and Perry ticks.

On tap at Dutch’s. Totally clear, slightly yellow color, no head or lace. Almost colorless. Very interesting apple aroma here... Oak, light funk, maybe a hint of smokey earthiness. Lightly tart taste, lighter sweet relative to other ciders, finishes more dry. Very light, crisp carbonation, more dry finish, and a very light body. Very easy to drink. This is actually chuggable, whereas most ciders are too sweet for that to be possible. Great stuff!

Pours a pale yellow with a head that does the quick rise and fall thing, it’s got a few tiny bubbles rising.

The cider is lightly fruity smelling but has a nice earthy clay and limestone character to it. It’s a touch funky & very inviting.

The flavor is very tart, a touch sour and dry throughout. The cider has a great earthy and minerally character with some tart apple and apple rind flavor.

Very enjoyable.

Draft at the ginger man. Pours clear yellow with no head. The aroma is minimal but has apple juice notes. The taste is sweet apple and a tart finish.

Tap at Bierkraft. Pale hazy pour. Golden colour. The nose is bright and appley. Very clean smelling. Dry palate with a light tannic character and a bit of soft tartness. Dry finish with notes malic notes and some nice bright tartness. Lovely.
