GB Wild Dark is a dark special brew, with added herb extracts. Herb taste is moderately balanced and is sensible in the spicy aftertaste.GB Wild Dark has been elected to be the Best Christmas Beer in 2012 in Tallinn’s Food Fest.

Bottle. Dark brown body with a fast collapsing foamy head. Typical Viru aroma with iron and sugar. I think I’m getting tired of that. Sweet malty and herbal taste with little to no roastiness. Weak hoppiness in the finish. Terribly unbalanced - this kind of sweetness would perhaps work in a considerably stronger brew. This feels rushed and unfinished. I expected the GB series to improve but it actually goes downhill.

Pours a clear dark brown body with a little tan head. Nose has herbal notes along with some chokolate and juniper. Taste is sweet with a mildly bitter finish. Carbonation is very soft and the mouthfeel is pretty thin. This is pretty bad, overly sweet and artificial.

500ml bottle from Tallinn. Dark reddish brown colour, small off-white frothy mostly vanishing head, hardly any lacing. Moderately malty toasty aroma of dark bread and molasses with a hint of chocolate, light herbal hops and some spicyness thrown in. Taste is initially moderately to heavily sweet and slightly acidic, turning into a short sweet finish with a marginal hint of bitterness. Full body, creamy to syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Some interesting aromas but just way too sweet for my liking and felt too much like drinking syrup.

50cl bottle at Ristiisa Pubi, Tartu. Pours Coca-Cola coloured with a minimal head. Bready and malty aroma with hints of spices. Sweet and kvass-like with a very mild bitterness. A bit too sweet and too boring, but drinkable.

Bottled 500ml Dark brown color, tiny vanishing off-white head. Cellary and metallic aroma. Medium-bodied. Sweet, metal, toffee, some odd herbal notes. Quite a disaster.

The head is medium, the body black. It smells darkmalty, natural, bit roasty, strange. The taste is darkmalty, sweet, bit roasty, creamy. Interesting and tasty!. 11/12/11/12/12/12

Not a huge fan, it’s a bit complex in its taste (basically like a hoppy dark plus spicy extra), but the result is nonetheless flat, dull, and even a bit syrupy. The GB series doesn’t have much going for it, to be honest!
