12oz bottle from Magic Beer Cellar in Zagreb pours a murky deep brown with some frothy, off white head. Nose has dark chocolate and toast, bread crust, some dusty grist, light brown sugar. Flavor has chocolate, molasses, malt, roast, some mocha, bread crust. Full bodied, just slightly sweet finish. Solid.

Bottle, 0.33l. Hazy dark brown color with large soapy light brown head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark fruits, herbs and honey. Taste starts light sweet and sour grainy, follows by mild roasted malt, chocolate and dark fruity acidity, mouthfeel is warming, while finish is mild bitter and spicy. Medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. More fruity porter than roasted, therefore very refreshing...

Pours dark brown with a soft head, that quickly diminishes. A lot of carbonation action can be seen on the glass side. Smell is of roasted coffee, slightly hoppy and sour at the end. Taste is quite flat at first, with a huge carbonation kick, that evolves in to a sour, then slightly coffee like aftertaste. Could be a lot better, but still way to go.

Pours a dark black. Aroma is a bit sour fruit and roasted nuts. Taste is a bit basic lacking any really strong flavor. Decent but disappointing.

Sep ’14. A 0.33 l bottle from Ivana trgovina, Split. It poured very dark, still hazy brown body with medium sized and obviously lighter brown head. Aroma was absolutely dominated by the roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, touched with herbal hop notes and some sweeter malt like cooked dark fruits. Flavor was also roasted malt-driven, coffee and chicory, lightly bitter/sour in that way and unpasteurized hops just emphasize it. Not so complex as aroma was, but still very pleasant. Elegant chocolate notes come in the finish through its medium body. Really a good porter, love it!
