3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 yngwie (10760) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 16, 2013
Bottle. A dense, white head leaves lacings. The body is almost clear, dark golden in color. Biscuity malty aroma with some grassy hops and a touch of yeast. Medium body, soft carbonation. Lightly cheesy, grassy hoppy flavor with a bready maltyness, bitterness and some fruity hints. Bitter, bready and malty finish. Not my favorite in any way, but it drinks quite easily. 130516

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 77ships (2156) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAY 9, 2013
33 cl. bottle @ home. Obtained @ Willems. BBF 07/11/2013. Pours bright amber orange toffee amber with a patchy white head. Sweet oranges, toffee in the nose, candy, very fruity, nicely sweet, floral hops, sweet malts. Taste is sweet malts, toffee, oranges, candy, very fruity, lightly sticky, floral in the finish with sparkling green hops, sticky hops, light grass, quite hoppy. Mmm delicious glorious hops. Oily body. Excellent APA almost IPA – not an Belgian Ale – and all of this with Golding hops. Just comes to show what De Proef can do if you give them a half decent recipe & enough money to do it properly & motivate him a bit. Bit surprised by the ratings, maybe too EU hoppy?
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Jado (251) - Camp Hill, AUSTRALIA - APR 8, 2013
Pours a slightly cloudy dark amber with a thinnish white head. Aromas of apples, caramel and light floral hops on the nose. Taste shows apple again up front, with a light earthy/tobacco note and some sweetness. Creamy mouthfeel and quite a clean finish. Good.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Bontus (566) - Waasmunster, BELGIUM - APR 4, 2013
Bottle, 33cl, Geers. Pours clear orange, sparkling. Rocky frothy white head. Nose of Euro hops, slicky palate a bit buttery, guess it’s also and English yeast they’ve used. Finishes with a touch of caramel malt and spritzy bitterness. This is the perfect base ale for a dryhopped bitter / APA.

Pours amber-blond with lots of head, a lot of carbonation. Reminds me of a simple lager. Not bad but certainly not great either.

Mild nose. Large pale head. Slightly hazy golden color. Slightly sour hoppy taste with some lemon notes. At the end hoppy bitterness. Too much hops for me.
