Great looking 33cl bottle @ home. Orange golden colour with a big white head that lasts quite well. Smells yeasty, quite sharp, orange peel, malty and some hoppyness. Tastes malty mostly, some bitterness, not as sharp as it smells, slightly fruity and a quite nice bitter and hoppy aftertaste. Great carbo, soft mouthfeel and thin to medium body. Could be a bit stronger, but it’s probably not the aim of this brew. Gets better with every sip. I don’t understand why it scores so low on ratebeer actually.

Bottle @ home. Aroma has citrus, orange, spices, some malt and a touch of flowery hops. Flavour is big fruity notes, fruity hop as well, some flowers. Quite bitter, medium dry. Nice.

(bottle) pours a clear deep golden-amber colour with a frothy white head. aroma of powdered sugar, vanilla and lemon deodorant wipes, quite flowery, with notes of gooseberries and light milk chocolate, very reminiscent of freshly cleaned portable toilets. flavour is mostly floral hops, with a hint of caramel, straciatella and a light bitter finish. light to medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Idiosynkrasie (3705) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAY 7, 2014
330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, orangey, deep golden colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Malty, minimally fruity, and floral yeasty aroma, a touch of apricot. Taste is slightly fruity, minimally sweet bready malty, minimally spicy yeasty. Not bad, but slightly cautious, lacking intensity.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Obtained @ Willems. BBF 07/11/2013. Pours bright amber orange toffee amber with a patchy white head. Sweet oranges, toffee in the nose, candy, very fruity, nicely sweet, floral hops, sweet malts. Taste is sweet malts, toffee, oranges, candy, very fruity, lightly sticky, floral in the finish with sparkling green hops, sticky hops, light grass, quite hoppy. Mmm delicious glorious hops. Oily body. Excellent APA almost IPA – not an Belgian Ale – and all of this with Golding hops. Just comes to show what De Proef can do if you give them a half decent recipe & enough money to do it properly & motivate him a bit. Bit surprised by the ratings, maybe too EU hoppy?

33cl Bottle at The Red Rose Cafe, Brugge on 22nd Sep 2013. Very un-Belgian in taste, those English Golding hops asserting themselves I suppose? Poured a misty copper colour with a thin head covering. Lacked oomph in both the aroma and taste: some yeast and fruit notes but not enough to excite my taste buds (it was drank after on-tap stronger beers though). Mr Average in all aspects and a little disappointing to be honest, almost bland in fact.

Clean light amber body and stable head. Simple Belgian malts, lightly fruity, lightly caramelised, sweaty yeast. Amber, burned malts. Quite bitter aftertaste actually. Herbal hops. Decent brew. (33cl bottle from Dranken Geers shared with Pau on brewday)

330ml bottle. Golden orange colour with beads of foam clinging to the glass. The foam stays around for awhile. All fruit in the aroma with melon, mandarin and orange. Creamy smooth texture in the mouth gives up some dry spice and pepper on the tongue with a hint of fruit.
