33cl bottle at home. Dark brwon with a medium soapy slightly off-white head with low retention. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Medium sweetness with some herbal bitterness. Caramel, brown sugar, herbs, spices and yeast. A nice brown brew.

Belgian brown beer, so it has a malty body, with some notes of caramel and fruit, but this one is more hoppy than others of this style. Tasty beer.

Bottle @ Delerium Cafe in Rio de Janeiro. Murky brown with a thick cream coloured head. Sweet malty aroma and flavour, breadcrusts and pitted fruits. A decent double, maybe a little simple.

330ml bottle. Clear, dark ruby red colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Fruity, dark malty aroma, notes of dark berries, a touch of plum. Taste is dark malty, fruity, notes of dark berries and plum, dry overtones with a touch of fruit parings, a quite "neutral" touch of yeast, not really spicy, close to hay, very subtle hints of chocolate.

7.5% version... Slightly hazyreddish dark brown with small light brown head. Lots of caramel, toast, very ripe red plums, raisins, chocolate, and some herbal touch. Medium sweet with light roasted bitte rin the finish. Medium bodied, average carbonation, slightly watery herbal finish. Like the other Viven beers a decent example in the style.

Bottle at Park bench tasting. Almost clear red copper pour with white head, looks good. Aroma is toasty, caramel, brown sugar, grapes, red fruits, really stinky yet I can’t quite get my nose on it - flemish red without the sourness. Taste is malty, toasty, sweet, weird roasty sourness, brown sugar. Tastes and feels like a bad home brewed dubbel with a light infection.

Bottle (330 ml). Shared by JulienHuxley at 10 a.m. in a park before Cantillon Quitessence, thanks! Slightly hazy copper with a small beige head and little lacing. Aroma is of brown sugar, raisins and light red fruits, but there’s also metallic notes and a weird herbal presence. Taste isn’t much better with moderate sweetness, brown sugar, raisins, acidic notes, medicinal notes, red fruits and herbal finish. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Unpleasant sticky medicinal finish. Too much raisins. Like Julien said, it taste like a bad homebrew attempt at a dubbel.

Appearance: Dark brown with a good offwhite head (2 fingers),which has a good head (compact bubbles more then 2 fingers.) Aroma:Red fruits, caramel, nuts Taste: very Sweet caramel and dark fruits quite hoppy for a Abey Dubbel, while the alcohol level is much lower and viscosity and lacks the complexity of the good ones howevertastewise it does come close to a barley wine. Finish is a bit stringent. But it packs a lot of taste for 6% ABV. Medium body, average carbonation. Overall reminds me more as a Jopen barley wime in the Thomas serie, but just keeping it safe.Good beer, but not sure if it fits the style totally.

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a murky dark brown with a thin light tan head and some broken lace. The aroma is sweet caramel toffee light malt. The flavour is medium bitter sweet with a watery sweet malt light yeast palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
