Cloudy red brown beer, beige aery head, unstable and a bit adhesive, falls down fast. Aroma: fruity, caramel, dried figs, touch of banana. MF: a bit too much carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet caramel, raisins, mocha, citrus and some hops. Aftertaste: dark chocolate, grapefruits, citrus. Another pretty good beer from Viven. (yeah, Proef, I know)

Bottle from Beer Tempel. Murky dark amber body with poppy medium head. Nose caramel, quite toasty. Taste is heavy on the malts, sweet brown sugar, caramel and some hops. Finish syrupy sweet. Pretty good dubbel.

Bottled. A dark brown coloured beer with an off-white puddle of head. A spicy, nutty fruity aroma with alcohol notes. Raisins and cake in the mouth. Too boozy and unbalanced to be enjoyable. Shame.

Pours a lovely deep red, bordering on brown. Medium, frothy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, some caramel, good plums, a bit of raisins. Light milky chocolate. Highish carbonation, fine dry and mildly creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is elegantly sweet, some chocolate, toasted caramel, lovely dose of plums and figs. Long, fairly lingering mouthfeel. Actually a very nice dubbel.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, ruby brown colour with a big and loose tanned foamy head. Sweet and yeasty roast-malty aroma with notes of berries, caramel, leather and liquorice. Sweet and roasty bitter flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Roast-malty taste with fruity notes, caramel and cacao; sweet, roasty and hop-bitter, slightly spicy and subtle fruity finish with loads of chocolate in the aftertaste. Pleasant. 06.XII.10
