Bottle. Nice lacings left as the creamy off-white head sinks with the constantly lower level of unlcear, dark amber beer. Prunes, dark sugar, some grassy, peppery hops, and some pastry hints. Prunes, dark sugar, grassy hops and some spiced notes. Full body, very dry on the palate, with soft and pleasant carbonation. Bitter, yet malty sweet finish. A quite pleasant one, but it sort of lacks the balance one normally expect from Belgian beer. 130516

Bottle, 7.5%. Milk chocolate aroma, slightly spicy, some brown sugar in the nose. Seemingly clear reddish dark brown colour. Very small frothy off-white head. The flavour has a nice mild chocolate note, not as much sugar as the aroma with being too dry. A mild and quite clean bitterness to balance. A pleasant and well-balanced dubbel.

Bottle. Pours hazy darkish ruby / copper brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of caramel malt with notes of fruit and touches of coffee. Bitter, roasty flavour with sweet notes of caramel malt and fruity touches. Bitterish and slightly acetic aftertaste with mild sweetish hints. A well-balanced and thoroughly enjoyable Dubbel. Nice.

L: -pours a hazy ruby-brown with a small to medium, foamy, beige head -no carbonation visible S: -chocolate,raisins,figs,leathery T: the nose plus plums, caramel, cherries and a slight acidity -finishes dry F: -low to medium carbonation -light body -slight alcohol warmth O: -Belgian Yeast character less pronounced The Beer was at the end of its BBD,so the low carbonation (for a Belgian Beer) maybe because of that. Good overall.

Bottle 330ml (from BBF, BB 01/2016)
Deep ruby color, steady beige head, some lace. Ryeish malty, toasted, berryish and a bit medicinal aroma. Medium-bodied. Berryish flavor with candy sweetness. Hops are there too, some bitterness in the aftertaste. Berries dominate this bruin way too much.

Bottle at Post Office Vaults, Birmingham. Thin and sticky mouthfeel. That classic Belgian gummy maltfeel, with some tacit dark, sticky tobacco length. Tangy. Good Dubb.
