11.2 oz. bottle served in a shaker- poured a transparent brazen copper-orange color, one finger foamy off white head formed but did not lace upon the vessel. Aroma of pine, citrus, caramel, resin. Hits the mouth with a high-medium body, malt is not overly sweet- which is refreshing, middle has a fine and good size hop wave, finish is acidic with waves of sweetness that don’t seem to end. Interesting.

Pours clear orange-amber with a huge, off-white head. Not surprisingly, this beer is all about hops. Aroma is citrus, resin and floral hops. Medium sweetness with nice caramel flavors, but then resiny and citrusy hops dominates. Finishes with a long resiny hop bitterness. Medium-full body with a slick mouthfeel and average carbonation. Overall, pretty tasty brew. Not the most complex imperial IPA, but certainly has a good balance of hop to malt.

Excalibur123 (152) - Soria, SPAIN - SEP 20, 2014

Bottle to glass at Cafe Rose Red in Brugge. First beer in Brugge at a wonderful bar. Aromas explode out of the glass of fresh citrus hop. Slightly haze pale orange with full white head. Amazing flavor as well for a great start to the trip.

Bottle. Pours dark golden, with nice white head. There are some hops in aroma, but it’s Imperial IPA, so you expect something more. And there is more in flavour. Bitterness is really high, which I actually love. But, if it is an Imperial, there should be more sweetness too. So, it tastes more like standard IPA. I mean, good IPA.

peach, tangerine?, tropical fruits, caramel; amber, rather clear, big and quite strong off-white foam, great lacing; medium(+) bitterness, medium sweetness; medium body, oily and creamy feel, rather soft carbonation, long, slightly warming bitter finish Overall: beautiful beer, great aroma, good taste, very good palate

Bottle: Sweetish malt aroma, caramel and candy. Herbal and resin hops. Hazy amber color, off-white creamy head. Flavor is light malty with light sweetness but mainly herbals and resin hops and a intensive alcohol note.

Bottle. Light amber body with white head. Aroma is ripe fruit sweetness with some belgian yeast. Taste is malty with some ripe fruits and hoppy bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter balanced by some sweetness. I like these belgian IPAs.
