UPDATED: MAR 17, 2013 On draught @Brugge BF, 02/02/2013. - Great looking, deep yellow DIPA with fluffy white head and balanced floral/fruity aroma. Outstanding mouthfeel, medium, none of its 8% ABV apparent and full of the taste of its typical US-hop profile, back up by a pleasant, round malt backbone. High drinkability, not a show-off, but an impressive brew that pairs US-style with Belgian balance. //Re-rate bottle 16/03/2013: slightly more "Belgian" qualities pushing through then fierce aroma hop bitters: yeast eyes, some caramel sweetness, cara malts. Somewhat less harmonic than the draught.-1

helder amber met snel slinkende kraag welke nagenoeg verdwijnt.

smaken: sinasappel, grapefruit, hoppig, citrus, koriander, mout, peper
licht zoet, medium/zwaar bitter zeer sterk, medium body, dun
lang bittere fruitige afdronk
aroma is beter dan de smaak, zachte IPA, behoorlijk bitter, fruitig en hoppig

Bottle somewhere in the middle of Belgium. Very un-characteristic of any European beer - but I like it! Glad to see IIPAs being brewed on this side of the pond!

Bottle 33 cl, BBE 27.09.2014. Pours cloudy amber with frothy off-white head. Pine and tropical fruits in aroma, feels just like taking a stroll in some forrest where it has just rained. Feels very fresh, good piney aroma indeed. Pine, grassy bitterness and some hints of yeast in taste. Has a nice malty backbone. Grassy bitter finish with just a minimal amount of some sweeter fruity notes coming through. Tasty.

33 cl bottle @ hotel room, Bruges. Rated on 16.07.2010
Aroma has lots of fruits with exotic hops and some caramel. Flavour is rather fruity with hops, some pineapple, grapefruit, caramel malt and hints of toffee. The hops make this very American and this actually has no Belgian character at all. Not that it would be a bad thing...

Bottle. Pours deep amber with ruby highlights and average, frothy white head; decent retention and lacing. Aroma is floral hops, cookie and cereal malts, caramel, figs, dates, and grassy notes. Flavor is sweet malt forward, quickly followed by grassy and floral hops (medium bitterness) with some dark fruit esters and light woody notes; dry, lightly hoppy finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

BeerCast_Rich (1680) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 5, 2013
[330ml bottle, The BeerHive, Edinburgh] Pours a reasonably clear orangey amber, with a large white head. Bitter, piney aroma from the Tomahawk, with some of that Simcoe cattiness. Sweet on the palate at first, quite effervescent and sherbety. Taste then goes into resinous pine and a long bitter finish. Very nice, American style all the way [05012013]
