3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
33cl bottle pours copper with thick gold hued edges and tall tan head with some clumpy sheet lacing. The aroma offers up a slightly odd mix of citrus, cherry, spicy hops and pine. Interesting. The taste begins with a mix of pine hops and malt sweetened citrus that creates a citrus orange like hard candy sensations. To midway it gets modestly more bitter with pine and citrus and near grapefruit like hops as the sweet malts fade away. It lingers into the finish with modest citrus and pine hoppiness. Pretty decent hoppy brew. A fresh pint straight from the tap would be fun to try.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAY 16, 2015 Deep copper coloured body with a strong bronze glow and a thick, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of alcohol, honey, oak, bread, white pepper, yeast and quite a load of hops - but strong all around. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong hoppy flavour with a big spicey and piney kick and a large malt body along with some dry herbal notes as well. Aftertaste has a bit of spice, some yeast, a little honey and sweetness and finishes with a pleasant effervesce which brings out the floral and grassy characteristics. Overall, a strong beer that shows well throughout that lends itself almost to a Belgian Ale or Tripel that’s a bit hoppy. Nice to sample, although doesn’t compare one-to-one to an American Imperial IPA. Still, a nice option for me in my 5000th rating, Beer #3 to celebrate, an Imperial IPA. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Bier Temple in Bruxelles, Belgium on 18-January-2015 for €3,00 sampled at home on 15-May-2015.

[Ölresa till Bryssel med Wihlan 2015] kraftig arom, fruktigt humlig, smörig arom. Rikigt kraftig beska i smaken som balanseras med en stor sötma.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Vollkommen in Ordnung dieses Bierchen, das mit einem gewissen Bumms daherkommt, aber auch eine feine belgischen Hopfennote in sich trägt. Dahinter etwas Vanille, aber auch Hefe. Nicht schlecht.

The beer has got a light hazy golden-amber colour with a steady head and smooth body. Aroma of hops and flowers. Taste of hops, light malt, flowers, bread, citrus fruits and pineapple. Flowery-fruity-bitter finish. Solid one.

I’m guessing this is what I had .. . Dark tan gold .. . Decent foam .. . Harsh chemicals, wood, and dried grass .. Not very good, why would you import a double IPA? .. . . They call it MURDA!
