Pours a dark brown colour with a frothy beige head, great retention and creamy lacing. Beautiful mild smokiness with roasted malts, hints of dark fruits and hints of vanilla. The taste has the roasted malts, fruits and light smoke in the finish. Alcohol is well-hidden. Easy to drink with not too much smokiness.

Bottle from the lcbo. Jet black pour, medium light brown head. Robust malt Aroma, slightly sweet charred malts, with hints of smoke and coffee. Finish is very roasty, and malty, with some good coffee, and bitter cocoa. Hints of licorice and campfire, light bitterness.

Bottle at Farmhouse Tap and Grill. This ended up being poured into a flared tulip. The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a thin white foamy coated head. Dissipated at a nice pace. Filmy milky looking lace glossed the sides of the glass in a level coated fashion. The smell started off with some sweet to roasty to meaty smooth creaminess up front. Light vanilla enters in as it warms to balance. The taste was exceptionally smooth and sweet with a stellar amount of a creamy aftertaste and wet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a creamy to silky smooth feel sliding on my tongue. Nice and sessionable, ABV seems to barely hit. Overall, smoked porter, definitely and I would love to have again.

Pours resinous black with a moderate beige tan head. Aroma is slight smoke roasted malts with light hop bitterness. Taste is much the same, maybe a little high on carbonation but good for the style.

It pours opaque black with mahogany highlights; the head is beige and foamy. The aroma has notes of: charcoal, coffee, and toast. The taste is light bitter and lightly sweet; there are notes of: toffee, coffee, and grapefruit zest. The palate is medium light bodied with light carbonation and a long finish. Overall, it’s a tasty little number.

Deep black pour with a thick creamy tan head. The nose is really rich and chocolatey with some vanilla and notes of toasted coconut. There’s a really rich fudgey note here with a touch of earthiness. Slightly savoury smokey element to the beer with a touch of bitterness on the back. Rich and tasty.

330ml bottle. Clear dark brown body, medium chocolate head with good retention and decent amount of lacing. Aroma licorice, toasted malts, burned sugar, hints of leather and some hops. Taste of dark chocolate, well done toast, leather, herbs, burned caramel. Very nice.
