Pours dark and black with a thick tan head. The nose is smoke, roasted coffee, some chocolate, some vegetable though, not great. The taste is high sweet and low bitter. The texture is smooth and creamy, the body is heavy and finish is long. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught at reuben’s. Pours a dark brown with a finger of fine tan head. Settles in minutes with thin sheets of lacing. Aroma is smoked malt, roasted malt, hint of chocolate and bacon. Flavor is smoked malt and roasted up front with a mild dark chocolate finish. Nice roasted aftertaste. Soft carbonation, medium body and very smooth mouthfeel. An excellent, rich, and smooth porter.

Black with a small, compact and resistent tan head. Aroma is coffee, mushrooms. Taste is coffee, some Coke. Overly carbonated, but pleasant. You don’t feel the 7% alcohol

weihenweizen (1163) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - MAR 26, 2013
Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle from the rare beer of the month club caged and corked and poured into a snifter. Pours opaque black with dark brown highlights, medium light brown head which dissapates fairly quickly. Light smoke aroma, medium body, good thin lacing, and medium/low carbonation. Taste is roasty, some milk chocolate, salty, and some smoke (meat). Good, but not great.
