(From notes 9 Oct, 2012) Bottle. Pitch black beer with a large light brown head. Smells smokey, like a bit of bacon, with some malt. Tastes bitter and sweet, not exactly what I expected. Carbonation is gentle, giving it a smooth mouthfeel. All in all, a surprising porter which I enjoyed.

Bottle. Pours an extremely dark brown with a moderate head. Wow. This is smokey. The smoke plays beautifully off the porter style with some great roasted and smokey notes in the nose with the slightly heavy smokiness in the taste. Great drink. Truly.

Might good, one of my favorites. Real porter taste. Nicely smoked, flavours of wood and malt. Sweet and bittere in about the same level. Nice good body, watery texture. Low carb.

Papery, smoky, butterscotchy, buttery, sweet, caramel, cocoa smell. Flavor is smoky and chocolatey. Slight metallic. It has an off-flavor running straight-though it . I can’t pin point it but it doesn’t ruin the beer. PRetty good actually.
