UPDATED: FEB 20, 2014 33cl bottle - pours a lively carbonated, light bodied black-brown with off-white to tan head. - Very easily drinkable for a roasted porter: light-medium mouthfeel (could be a bit more viscous), 7% ABV not noticeable. Upfront roasted, slightly smoked notes with some liquorice; good hop bitterness. Guinness Foreign Exportís lighter Belgian cousin?

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle. deep brown body, small tan head. oily black patent char in the nose with a milder sense of campfire wood/ash. medium body, somewhat oily texture, medium-low carbonation, sweet with lots of dark chocolate / coffee / roast, but combine the effervescent Belgian yeast with some burnt grain husks and chalky yeast, well, the texture and body could use some refinement.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle. Starts to gush once opened. Pours a dark brown with a lighter brown head. Aroma is disappointingly muted. Chocolate malt taste with smokey logs and light coffee notes. The smoke isnít overdone and works pretty nicely. Carbonation seems far too high though. Not bad overall but has a few issues.
