Bottle. The strong aroma of malt and chocolate, a weak sour note. The head has a normal size and duration, it is beige and creamy. A rather bitter taste, malty with some coffee. The body is medium strong, light creamy and lively with a lot of carbonation.

[Bottle (330ml)] Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with an average size long-lasting frothy dark beige head. Good amount of lacing. Aroma is smoky, yeasty and malty first along with chocolate and a bit of dark fruit in the back. Flavour of roasted malt, coffee and yeast along with a bit of chocolate and very light hops. Medium bodied. Pretty good, enjoyable Porter.

Bottle from the LCBO. Dark brown with a big and thick tan head that looks like an ice cream float. Nice aroma - dark malt, prune and raisin, dark roasted coffee, bit of smoke. Flavour follows the aroma to the note. Body is a touch thin. Quite nice.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle smoked porter. Pours a thick frothy brownish head and has a pitch black appearance. Thick dirty lacing. Aromas of dark roasted malts, quite smokey, coffee and earthy hops. Flavours are also quite smokey, with more roasted malt notes, some coffee and hints of dried fruit (raisins, plums). A little bit of sweetness as well. Good retention. Smooth, silky and creamy mouthfeel.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice black beer with long lasting big brown head. Smells a bit smoky, malty. Flavour is good, roasted malts, yeasty breadiness, enough hop character to balance out the malts and leaves a pretty crisp finish. Exactly what I want in a porter.
