Aromas of coffee, ash, carbonised wood, dark chocolate. Rich texture, bitter taste with sweet overtones, coffee and choco again. Not my favorite style but the palate alone lets you know there’s quality there.

Black pour with a thin pale tan head. Smoky, malty, coffee aromas. Taste - roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, quite dry, finishes with a little bitterness and slight aniseed. Pretty good porter

Black with a thick fluffy beige head that rests down to a ring. Aroma has chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and rusk bread/rye bread. Taste has rye bread, dark chocolate, soft roasted notes, well balanced bitter hops and slight alcohol. Full body, soft carbonation, smooth. Dry and slightly warming after taste.
Solid porter, just the way I like them.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks Tom L. Black, opaque with beige head. Delicate coffee roast in the nose, a little young wood, then stronger coffee. Dry, bitter taste, followed by a little sweetness. Full, robust body, long bitter finish.

BOTTLE 33CL from dcmchew. Thanks! Look: pitch black, beige frothy to creamy head. Aroma: light licorice or minty (hops?), light smoke or rather ashy, black malts - some coffee and black chocolate. Some acid fruitiness is revealed when it is warmed up. Taste: very dry roasted and ashy, thinnish body, and dry moderate bitterness in the finish. Again, a drop of sweetness appears by the time you finish the glass.

An ’Irish stout’ kind of porter.

Black with a creamy beige top. Cigarette buds, coffee grind, a bit of creamy sweetness, burnt caramel. Not my cup of tea but a well crafted beer.

Bottled. Pours pitch black with an average, lacing tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, a little smoke and licorice notes. Sweet flavor that ends up dry with a little bitterness. Medium bodied, creamy texture and soft carb. A lovely Porter.

330ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Pours black with tan head. Lots of smoked malts coming through, smooth and very nicely balanced with a little tobacco and the tiniest touch of sweetness. Dry finish. Very enjoyable.
