3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 jbrus (4992) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - MAY 8, 2005
Bottled. Aroma of plum and roasted malts. Dark brown color, large light brown head, good lace. Light sweet, sourish, light bitter, citric (in a dubbel???), hint of caramel, hint of roastiness, plum as well, quite complex actually. Soft and warming.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 lachesis (757) - St Idesbald, BELGIUM - MAR 20, 2005
Intens warm-brown color with good creamy beige head. Nice malty aroma’s with with touches of nuts and hints of Pineau de Charents. Fine round taste with hints of sweet cakes, malts, nuts, bruned adges of a fruitcake, breadpudding and a fine touch of young Port-Wine that brings some freshness in this beer. A nice brown beer with an outstanding balance.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 MiP (12136) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JAN 27, 2005
Bottle. Yeasty, slightly acidic aroma. Semi-dark brown colour, unstable head. Flavour is first malty and yeasty, then quite acidic. Yeasty aftertaste. The bubbles seem to be too big causing the head to disappear like on some soft drinks, and giving the mouthfeel a certain degree of roughness which I don’t care for.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 JorisPPattyn (7306) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JAN 16, 2005
Very dark brown with red highlights; brownish tinted, very whipped cream-like head. Fruity, red grapes, red winemost, dark malts, bit almondy nose. Bitterish as from roasted, dark malts, bit bready taste. Little acidity gives a rather good balance. Fruity character more obvious warming up. CO² burn, medium bodied. Aftertaste is sweeter. Middle-of-the road brown, but with a pleasant fruity appeal.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ungstrup (26250) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 10, 2004
A hazy red beer with a huge orange-red head that lasts a long time. The aroma is very sweet with notes of yeast and roasted malt. The flavor is also very sweet with notes of yeast and caramel. A standard beer but OK.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Mads Langtved (2246) - Copenhagen K, DENMARK - JUL 7, 2004
This is a nice dubbel. Quite sweet and malty. A bit of fruit combined with the sweetness makes this a complex beer which is quite pleasant.

Aroma and flavor have cane sugar, honey, pineapple and mango. Sweet, in fact too sweet to be really good. Still a nice and tasty beer.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 caesar (3943) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - NOV 8, 2003
Cloudy brown color, medium brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, rye, bit fruity of grapes and berries. Heavy malt taste, rye again, spicy. A bit between a dunkel and a dubbel i think.
