3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Bosskie (256) - NETHERLANDS - DEC 7, 2011
Blew its top of when I opened it but didn’t froth out. Instead served lively with a huge frothy head. Golden colour, transparent, subtle carbonation and sandy yeast floating.
Peaches and oranges on the nose. Some spices and iron. Dry and warm, light fizziness. Well balanced sweetness and bitterness. Starts of with nuts and coffee. Dry nutty aftertaste. Lively finish. Earthy.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Abio (1334) - Waasland, BELGIUM - SEP 4, 2010
Lightly orange-amber coloured. A medium sized white head, holds ok. Smell is not really like I’m used from a tripel, more red fruits, sweetness seems to come up. Some yeast and alcohol, even some caramel seems to play. The smell isn’t to bad at all, but it’s not what I expected. Taste is full of fruits and spices. Also the alcohol kicks in pretty well. Yeasty, some malts. Caramel. Not bad.

Bottle conditioned, 330ml. Slightly opaque yellow straw with small head. There’s a sweetish spicy flavour in this beer with a vanilla note initially. The sweetness masks much of the flavour, but a Chinese type spice does seem to emerge. Fruity on the finish. It’s ok, but I wouldn’t rush back to it.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 harrisoni (10911) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUN 2, 2009
33cl bottle from Dranken Geers. Clear gold, thin white head. Faint citrus and crystallised tangerine aroma. It’s like a strongish blond to be honest with the odd nod towards a tripel. It’s a drinkable strong blond with a bit of syrupy malt in the middle, some candied fruit on the finish and even a bit of hop. Yep, it’s fine.
