2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 thewolf (8239) - Kolding, DENMARK - JUL 22, 2010
Bottle. [thank you, Feldthaus & Søren]
Golden pour with some small floaties. Fine, staying, frothy, white head. Sweet and malty aroma, some slight fruity esters. Green apple, light orange. A spicy hint to it. High carbonation, fine dry mouthfeel. Flavour has a slight metallic touch, sweet malts, some fruitiness. Long, lingering, rather harsh herbal bitterness. Special, and not really impressive.

Pours a clear blond and little pearling beer. Modest white and fine head. Smells like cheese, musty and moldy. Tastes like the smell indicates. A lot of carbon in the mouth. Somewhat tart-bitter instead of hop-bitter. Touches of unripe apricot. Maybe this would work with some cheese, but without it’s like drinking your basement.

taste: yeast and wheats, followed into a grainy taste reminds me a bit of witbeer at certain moments ... nice but not overwhelming
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 yngwie (8703) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 1, 2010
Bottle, 75cl corked. It’s a clear, golden beer topped by a nice, off-white head. Mostly fruity on the nose, with a strange maltyness I can’t put my finger on. Not bad, just strange. The flavor has white sugar, fruits and some pale malts. Fine bitterness too. Medium to full body, and a balanced sweet and bitter finish. A decent beer, but not worth travel for. 091230

Pours a medium amber color. Aromas of caramel, a hint of nut, and some light fruit. Flavor is a sweet roasted taste, I think it could use some more hops. Finishes a bit sweet.
