2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 BlackHaddock (2365) - Shropshire, - MAY 10, 2012December 2007, from BA: Brown 33cl bottle, best before? Not sure, so drank both the bottles I had, this review is a combination of those beers.
Poured into a Corsendonk tulip glass it has a small white head that soon sinks down into a scummy looking wisp. The body of the beer is an orange cloudy, light amber colour, not very appetizing really.
The aroma was of sweet and sour fruits, pineapple and citrus together, with the sweeter smells winning the battle.
Fruit juice with a kick, strange mix of flavours, couldn’t pick a true taste comparison, not unpleasant though.
Fairly thin in the mouth, plenty of life but something missing in action.
Didn’t really know what to make of this beer, I enjoyed the first one more than the second, which is unusual for me, as i said earlier, something missing for me.

33cl, got it from my dad who got it at the butcher when he ordered the Vlaskaas (cheese).
Metalish, herbal aroma, dusty.
Hazy blond with a white fading head.
Herbal taste, but not that much pleasing. Weak/faint beer.

Fresh yeasty nose. Hints of ’rope’ . Balances taste. Has the freshness of a wheat beer, but also the depth of a light triple. Short and dryish aftertaste.

33cl bottle. Golden yellow and clear. Very small, dissipating into oblivion head. Nose : small aromas overall : bread with a basement yeast aromas. Sip : Watery with a bit oily and with a good carbonation. Sweet with a parfumed like aromas around. The end is a bit mettalic and very little bitter hops.
