2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 erickok (2371) - Tours, FRANCE - JUL 12, 2012
A murky light orange body with small-bubbly white head. Clementine, cup cake, cereal, crisp apple and cornbread. Taste disappoints a bit, with standard Belgian feel but without character. Low carbonation and light but rough sweetness. Dry and even alcoholic end. Overall it doesn’t have a quality feel to it and neither does it challenge you or go on the more refined beer path. Not sure what this beer brings to the table, then. Ah well. (25cl bottle, super cheap)

Bottle @ home, shared with Thompson. Clear light yellow color, small white lacing. Smells like white wine or champagne. Tastes like champagne too actually: fresh and lightly sweet. Little bit dry finish. Very nice carbo, low to medium body.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 77ships (2239) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - OCT 22, 2011
bottle@Paters Vaetje: cloudy golden with a big, fluffy head, taste is bitter upfront, plenty of wheat, grains, lots of citrus, definite amount of hops, white pepper, finish has a slight sourness, ok, the sour aftertaste does make it a bit better for me
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 JanEric (845) - Meppel, NETHERLANDS - AUG 19, 2011
Yellow to golden colour, dense white head, lots of co2. Aroma has wheat, barley and hops (of course), no more. Taste is slightly bitter, somewhat sourish, like a witbier shoud be, with ornage peels. Reasoanlbe, bit dry finsih.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 txspartan (882) - Wilrijk, BELGIUM - MAR 9, 2011
Unfiltered golden beer with quite a bit of sediment in the bottle. Not bad, though.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 chriso (7254) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 2, 2011
Vintage bottle, consumed at GBBF, day 5 on 5 August 2006. Some life in the pour but it’s pretty much gone. Cardboardy oxidation evident. A teensy bit of wheaty character remains. Not undrinkable though.

17th December 2007 Very shap effervescent start rapidly followed by citrus tones of lemon and tangerine. Dry crisp finish.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 FatPhil (7597) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JAN 6, 2011
250 ml bottle (Cambrinus, Bruges)
6 Super-citrussy lemon piney aroma. Alas reminds me a little of floor cleaner as it’s so distinct
3 Opaque honey-coloured beer. Large white head.
6 Woh, super citrussy retronasals. Tons of white grains, but being light they can’t stand up to the power of the citrus.
3 Watery, crisp carbonation. Feels too watery, but at 5.5%, that’s not really an insult, it shows they’ve brewed a strong but refreshing beer.
12 This is a perfect beer to help migrate people off hoegaarden-with-a-slice-of-lemon towards more interesting beers.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 Skinnyviking (6065) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 9, 2010
Draught. Medium high but quickly disappearing white creamy head. Hazy milky light yellow body. Fruity lemon aroma. Heavily6 carbonated watery lemon flavor with a long aftertaste.
