Fizzy, white head, mostly diminishing. Fair lace. Sparkling, lightly yellow body. Hopy (flowers, pine) and yeasty aroma. Lightly bitter initial flavour and finish (short). Very flat. Light to medium bodied. Fizzy carbonation.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A murky light orange body with small-bubbly white head. Clementine, cup cake, cereal, crisp apple and cornbread. Taste disappoints a bit, with standard Belgian feel but without character. Low carbonation and light but rough sweetness. Dry and even alcoholic end. Overall it doesnít have a quality feel to it and neither does it challenge you or go on the more refined beer path. Not sure what this beer brings to the table, then. Ah well. (25cl bottle, super cheap)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ home, shared with Thompson. Clear light yellow color, small white lacing. Smells like white wine or champagne. Tastes like champagne too actually: fresh and lightly sweet. Little bit dry finish. Very nice carbo, low to medium body.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
bottle@Paters Vaetje: cloudy golden with a big, fluffy head, taste is bitter upfront, plenty of wheat, grains, lots of citrus, definite amount of hops, white pepper, finish has a slight sourness, ok, the sour aftertaste does make it a bit better for me

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Unfiltered golden beer with quite a bit of sediment in the bottle. Not bad, though.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Vintage bottle, consumed at GBBF, day 5 on 5 August 2006. Some life in the pour but itís pretty much gone. Cardboardy oxidation evident. A teensy bit of wheaty character remains. Not undrinkable though.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
250 ml bottle (Cambrinus, Bruges)
6 Super-citrussy lemon piney aroma. Alas reminds me a little of floor cleaner as itís so distinct
3 Opaque honey-coloured beer. Large white head.
6 Woh, super citrussy retronasals. Tons of white grains, but being light they canít stand up to the power of the citrus.
3 Watery, crisp carbonation. Feels too watery, but at 5.5%, thatís not really an insult, it shows theyíve brewed a strong but refreshing beer.
12 This is a perfect beer to help migrate people off hoegaarden-with-a-slice-of-lemon towards more interesting beers.
