Douberd (1705) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - APR 12, 2014
Bottle 330 ml at home, into a tulip glass. ABV 12% Pours a clear beer, deep orange golden in colour, with a small and froathy white head. Low retention, light lacing on the glass. Aroma of wood, grapes, wine notes, malts, some sugar. Sweet taste with clear malts, sugar, white grapes, cognac, wood, very well hidden alcohol - in no way you can tell it’s a 12% beer - Medium thick body, soft carbonation. Only a little bit of dryness on the palate. Overall this was a very good beer, quite a surprise.

Hazy deep gold beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth, quite light and semi dry. Modest carbonation. Creamy vanilla oak. Light touch of sweet tropical fruits, almost syrupy. Mild brandy tone. Finishes smooth. Quite a sweet vanilla oak led beer but also quite seductive.

33cl bouteille @ RBBWG III, thanks 77ships.
