Bottle shared, gusher alert! Very hazy amber with a small cream head. Aroma of toffee, malt, alcohol, oak, booze, overripe dark fruit and caramel. Flavour is heavy sweet. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. [11-09-2016]

- trübes bernsteingelb mit leichter, cremiger Schaumbildung - Aromen nach Honig, Karamell, etwas Dörrobst und Bourbon, aber vor allem sehr intensiv nach Alkohol - für diesen Biertyp eine perfekte Carbonisierung - der Antrunk ist samtweich und dadurch verbunden mit einem herrlichen Mundgefühl - die Süße bildet einen fantastischen Gegenpol zur holzigen Fassnote - beim Trinken schmeckt man den Alkohol kaum, obwohl er immer wieder etwas unangenehm in der Nase kitzelt - das Ganze erinnert bis zum Abgang mehr an einen süßen Sherry denn an ein Bier Fazit: Leider springt einem der Alkohol etwas zu sehr in die Nase, ansonsten wäre es ein perfektes fassgelagertes Bier mit einem sensationellen Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

UPDATED: JUL 28, 2016 Bottle at home. Murky golden, hazy, offwhite slim but nicely lacing head. Grainy and sweet malty caramel, honey, bread, ripe fruits, plums, orange, white raisins, white porto, quite boozy. Lacks a bit of balance, bit too sweet. Firm body, oily mouthfeel low carbonation.

Amberkleurig met wit schuim. Geur: iets zurig, vineus, hout, alcoholisch, karamel. Smaak: zeer zoet, likeur, alcoholisch, rijp fruit, peer. Volmondig. Medium koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: zoet. Man, man, als dit geen gerstewijn is! Abbey Tripel? Hoe komt men op het idee? Voor dergelijk bier zouden ze nog de term "likeurbier" moeten toevoegen.
