Clear dark brown beer, small aery beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: quite some chlorine, bit chemical, floral. MF: soft carbon, full body. Taste: sweet start, quite some vanilla, caramel, alcohol, bit sugary. Aftertaste: lots of caramel, some vanilla, little bitter, alcohol, floral, honey, orange peel, dark chocolate, mocha. Another nice one!

Top level my dear of course... This one is at the max of impressions …

0.33 bottle. Extremely dark brown color and a small, instantly disappearing head. Strong aroma of fruits, wood, raisins, port, malts, and a touch of alcohol. Taste is really sweet, definitely malty, again contains wood, port, caramel, and dried fruits though not as clear and impressive as the aroma. Medium to full body, creamy/thick texture, and a soft carbonation. Finish is long, a tad stronger and bitterer than the rest. Overall the beer is fantastic even if a little sour towards the end; I find strong, definite tastes appealing so the rating might be a bit inequitable.

Bottle 330 ml at home, into a tulip glass, ABV 12% Pours a very dark bron coloured beer, with a light beige head on top, almost two fingers in size, thick enough, with average retention and light lacing left on the glass. Aroma is a bit faint and weak, becomes better as the beer warms up a bit. Lots of dark fruits, mostly plums, some caramel, black grapes giving it some nice vinous notes. Taste is sweet, with molasses, sugar, light caramel, stewed red and dark fruits, the alcohol just notable and quite well hidden taking its strength into account. Medium thick body, soft carbonation, a bit sticky palate. Overall a quite good beer, very drinkablea and in spite of its initial sweetness it is appealing and inviting for another sip.

Almost clear dark brown beer, untidy pale tan head. Palate is slightly viscous with mild fine carbonation. Sweetish brown malts, dark sugar, mild barrel induced sweetness. Light ripe fruits. Light smooth finish. Sweet and a little sticky but oddly seductive and pretty drinkable.

Countbeer (4301) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - MAR 2, 2014
Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Very small of white creamy foamy head/bubbles on top of a deep dark ruby colored beer. Aromas of prunes, some raisin, light wood and cream touch, a light sharper touch, some dark sweets and a sprinkle of tobacco. Flavours of prunes, spices, yeast, some dark wood, toast, bread, some sharper tones like sharper grains, sharper hay. Aftertaste is malt, prunes, bread, toast, some wood and some older flowers. Low carbo, close to silky mouthfeel, medium to fuller bodied and an oily texture. Don’t know why but this beer is far from interesting, not bad tasting but again far from interesting.

Bottle, 01/02/2014. Pours dark brown, lighter highlights near the edge, hazy white head, bubbly ring of lacing forms around the edge of the glass. Aroma is dried fruit, honeyed caramel, light grape and port notes, vanilla, dark rum soaked bread, drier barrel elements. Taste is caramel and fruity port, dark toffee, yeast and honey, spicy bitterness, finishing with light chocolate and brown sugar. Smooth, medium heavy body. Pretty nice.
