Almost clear dark brown beer, untidy pale tan head. Palate is slightly viscous with mild fine carbonation. Sweetish brown malts, dark sugar, mild barrel induced sweetness. Light ripe fruits. Light smooth finish. Sweet and a little sticky but oddly seductive and pretty drinkable.

Bottle. It pours a clear, brown body under a small, dense, beige head. The aroma is quite weak, but some alcohol chimes in. Roasted malts, caramel sauce and some toast in the aroma. There’s a nice sweetness in the flavor, with caramel sauce, bread and a little bitterness. Full body and pleasant carbonation level, with a roasted finish. Quite pleasant this one, hiding the ABV in a nice way. 140830

Bottle, bought @Etre Gourmet. Pours deep dark chestnut brown with red edges. Small, staying, creamy, white film head. Aroma has lots of caramel, raisins, dates, oak, vanilla, vinious. Low carbonation, fine oily and quite fat mouthfeel. Flavour has shitloads of vanilla, sweet malts, cocoa, caramel and raisins. Great malty bitterness to balance both alcohol and sweetness. Nice.
