Scauca (226), Lovere, Italy May 12, 2008 Draught. Little hazy yellow with green hues and the right white cap. Hoppy indeed but not that elegant. Rough & little metallic. Well bodied but malt is overwhelmed by a massive hoppiness. Very bitter end.
JorisPPattyn (4262), Antwerpen, Belgium Mar 11, 2007 Draught Hazy orange beer with a slight olive shine; small white head leaving some lace. Bit of malts, bit of hops, but restrained. Very hoppy (bitter and flavour) Pilsner. The malt is present, but the hops make out the business. Couldn’t guess which hops (it’s Northern Brewer and Perle, IIRC), but they are the right kind. Bit burning MF, quite carbonated, light to medium bodied. Really good Pilsner, excellent in quality. The nose was not helped by the restaurant AND the brewery in full swing. Hildigöltur (5051), København Ø, Denmark Feb 4, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Beautiful hazy deep dark golden coloured. Very hoppy aroma and flavour Quite some fruitiness as well. Bitter finish. Very refreshing.
