bartlebier (1167) - Belchum im Breisgau, GERMANY - FEB 19, 2014
Draught@source, Drehscheibe Durlach, Tour de Ländle 2 (GC) 02/2014. Pours a typically murky, hazy pale yellow. Eggwhite foam and aroma of contained proteins do not betray the over-par pils bitterness in this one, slowly kicking in, but setting the tone. Hop pine and grass reminiscent of a Warsteiner, but then non-filtered, adding yeast bitterness on top, creating an earsmear-dry finish.

Brouwerij (884) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 4, 2013
August 22nd, 2013: Growler courtesy of Ewok. Pours a hazy yellow straw with quickly settling white head, some thin lacing. Aroma is sweet, biscuit, malt, cereal/grain, sweet and yeasty. Flavor is malty, biscuit, sweet, with a mild malt finish, slightly bitter aftertaste. Soft carbonation, light body, and crisp texture. Drinkable, light and biscuity. Nice to have authentic German pils.

Bierkrug (2109) - Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria, GERMANY - APR 29, 2013
On tap at the brewpub in Karlsruhe, Germany. Pours a hazy gold-yellow color with a rocky frothy white head. Aroma is a sweet malty paste with some straw at the end. Taste has the small brewhouse taste with nice meelo malts, grains and mix of light fruit. Palate is a wonderful mouthfeel and after taste. Ends tart. Wow.

Cloudy orange body with a small white head. Grassy aroma. Taste starts grassy then becomes suddenly fresh-made bread. Chicory-wise bitter finsh, which becomes malty. Seems strange this bitter/malty alternance, but I really don’t know how to explain it. You should try it yourself. It reminds me somehow of Forschungsbrauerei’s Pilsissimus, but less bitter than it. Medium bodied, lively carbonation

Very well carbonated.rich pilsener taste.after that a pleasant and refreshing bitterness. Great cool beer on a hot summer day. Tapped army Vogelbräu Durlach
