ha1ag (233), Netherlands Jun 4, 2008 Bottled In Puerto Vargas. Color is red mahagoni. Very thin quickly diminishing head. Aroma is overly sweet, and full of cinammon. Flavor is slightly bitter, metallic but very very sweet. very watery, thin stuff. Ugly!!!!!!!!!! KingGambrinus (88), Santiago, Chile Feb 12, 2008 Red amber color with a small white head. Metallic aroma with a very sweet and spicy adtive that reminds of anything else but cinnamon. Flavor is low bittered, metallic, with little malt and extremely sweet, the cinnamon simply ruins the whole beer. Some resin hops are present. Watery texture. Disgusting and too pretentious beer, I couldn’t even finish it, this is worse than Antillanca. And how can this be a Vienna?? almosi (279), Viña del Mar, Chile Jan 24, 2008 Has a reddish color, almost mahogany. This flood of bubbles. Has very little foam, very fast white and. The aroma is too strong, the cinnamon is very penetrating. The flavor, single in the principle is showy, but immediately is disagreeable. This is not a beer!. Another beer that commits the error to contain an aggregate too much. Too much cinnamon, too much. Very badly davidpl (398), Santiago, Chile Jan 21, 2008 Appearance: reddish to mahogany color. Medium head, whitish-yellowish color, lasting and good adherence to glass.
Aroma: caramel, clove, vanilla, chamomile and nutmeg’s smells.
Flavor: very sweet start from cinnamon’s essence, sugar and malts. Clove, vanilla, raisins and fig’s reminiscences.
Palate: medium body with semi-oily texture. High carbonation.
Too much sweet, totally unbalanced from excessive cinnamon’s essences (artificial) and without hoppy. Mediocre to bad beer. Panzerfaust (377), Santiago, Chile Jan 10, 2008 Pours a clear dark orange/amberish red color with sparkles. Head is medium white and frothy. It diminishes quickly and leaves a thin film.
Aroma is malty with notes of cinnamon, cherries, red fruits, malt syrup, almonds and palm syrup. Nice.
Flavor is sweet as expected. There are notes of molasses, cinnamon, cherry liquor and palm syrup. Too sweet for my taste, but typical from the brewer with the sole exception of the blonde Lager.
Body is thick, almost chewy for a Vienna. Full mouthfeel, syrupy texture, soft carbonation. The finish is sugary. Acceptable, just too sweet. I could enjoy this when I’m in the mood for something sweet but not over-the-top.
