Draught (Wildeman, Amsterdam)
Deep red, small tight head. Caramelly and sour aroma. Pleasant carbonation. Sticky liquorice and hoppy taste. Sits on the tongue for a long time.

Large bottle. Huge gusher, I lost a third of the contents. caramel, peach and a hint of licorice in the aroma. Very fruity, caramelly flavor with hints of cinnamon and licorice. Tasty enough, this beer.

Bottle. Quite a lot of yeast and brown sugar flavours for my liking. Alcohol is quite noticeable. Feels a bit raw and slightly one dimensionally sweet/yeasty.

A Mes rate: Another gem I have to thank Rudiger for, bogan he may be but he certainly knows his baps. Malt yeast and alcohol nose. Muddy brown colour with a reasonable tan head. Chocolatey sweet and rather acrid. Synthetic sugar in the finish. Blah blah.

Draught
Dark nut brown, small brown head. Yeasty, brown sugary in the nose (tap was maybe not in the best shape?). Brown ale-type sugary but a bit sour. Slightly yeasty.

Dutch Ratebeer gathering. Cloudy dark brown coloured. Malts are dominant, and the ageing effect (BB febr. 2002; over 4 or 5 years old) is pretty obvious. Fresh it is very smooth, sweet, raisins. Nice brew!

Dark brown hazy appearance. Bitterness is dominating this brew, only a slight chocalatelike sweetness as a start. Quite decent double, one of the better Volendam-brews
