Dark red brown, thin head. Nose: molasses, sweet malt, caramel, fruity (pears). Taste: malt, mild roast (milk choc), caramel, noble hop flavour. Full body, mild bitterness, a bit too sweet for my taste. Alcohol obvious but not unpleasant.

In bottle at Craig’s. Pours a dark amber colour with a decent beige head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, pine, liquorice and alcohol. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation and CO2 prickle and a foamy mouth-feel.

bardzo fajne piwko najlepsze ciemne jakie dotad piłem z Litwy i Łotwy, fajna butelka i fajnie wygląda w kuflu, silne nuty slodu i karmelu, zgadzam się, że dla niektorych może być za slodkie, mocne ale nie czuć w smaku alkoholu jak przy innych piwach powyżej 6% alk., miekka woda więc miekko wchodzi :)

Probably the best Volfas on the list, it is quite nice, delicious porter without being annoying.

Bottled@Kaisla, Helsinki. Rubyish brown colour with a mediumsized beige head. Aroma is sweet malts, mild toasted notes, dark dry fruits as well as some herbs and mild nutty notes. Flavour is ashy, dark dry fruity with some roasted and toasted malts as well as mild nutty notes. Gets quite metallic once it warms up.

Bottle. Low fouffy white lasting head. Hazy dark red body. Sweet malty caramel marcipan honey aroma. Malt caramel marcipan flavor. Low carbonation. Long sweet aftertaste.

Clear copper color, tan head. Sweet malty scent, some garbage bin, a bit acidic. Malty, cream, grainy taste. Medium mouthfeel, very dry bitterness.

At a tasting, thanks Zvikar, almost no head at all, clear dark rose red colour, flavour of candied cherries, yeast, caramel, brown sugar and a touch of vanila. flavour of dolce de lece, butterscotch, cherries and a strange and unusual metal notes that remain for the aftertaste. Very interesting.
