„Volfas Engelman“ is a pride of interwar Lithuania, the best Lithuanian beer which received the highest evaluations in different exhibitions from Kaunas to Paris.

Ogi’s, from Lithuania, pint can, thanks! Poured a golden body with a medium sized white head. Dry malty aroma, slightly sweetish perhaps. Empty, dry taste, some mild sweetish graininess perhaps, extremely, extremely light bitter note. Seriously? No off flavors, but, then again, pretty much no flavors at all. Yeah, I kinda dig the Volfas Engelman graphical/historical scheme. Too bad the beers aren’t nearly worth it.

No ten juz nieco wyrazisty jasny lager slodowy niezbyt slodki nawet podchmielony konkretnie. Kolor zlocisty z babelkami, fajna pintowa buteleczka. Ogolnie piwo lekkie w sam raz na lednie upaly.

Piwo butelkowe. W zapachu mokra szmata. Kolor złoty bardzo klarowny, obfita biała piana. W smaku lekka goryczka, wodnistość i taka lagerowa słodycz. Nasycenie bliskie zeru, piwo bardzo pijalne i dobre.

Bottle, 1pt. It’s a clear, golden beer topped by a white head of two-finger size. The aroma is quite buttery, with peaches, yellow apples and grainy malts. Some hints of pepper and grass. It’s almost oily on the palate, full-bodied and with a soft carbonation. It’s not equally buttery in the flavor, but a bit too sweet for my likings. Fruits, some pepper and grains and a faint bitterness too. Sweet, fruity finish with some bitterness. Quite pleasant if you don’t spent much time smelling it. 131204
