COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
„Volfas Engelman“ is a pride of interwar Lithuania, the best Lithuanian beer which received the highest evaluations in different exhibitions from Kaunas to Paris.

Pale fizzy gold, reasonable sudsy head. Citrussy lager aroma. Plasticky and a bit rancid malt/hops combination. More flavour than the average lager, but not one I like. Grassy finish.

Canned 24/11/12. A fairly anaemic blonde lager with a little whitish head. A sweetish lager with some butter and puke on the nose. Some corn in the mouth but it doesn’t taste too bad and is actually fairly palateable. A touch of fruit. Not bad.

Clear pale golden colour with tiny white head. Sweet sugary Lagery aroma. Flavour ain’t bad. Quite typical Baltic Lager. Slightly sweeter than Nordic Lagers.

Medium white head. Yellow body with carbonation. Mealy rubbery papery aroma. Dry mealy rubbery papery taste, lightly acidic. Mid-bodied. Mealy mouthfeel. Dry-acidic mealy papery aftertaste. Well. It sucks, but for such a shitty beer it’s surprisingly easy to drink. I got tired of it very quickly, though, and particularly don’t like the acidity. Had it three times, from draft, can, and bottle, and it was the same each time. (0.5l bottle from some grocery store, Vilnius.)

Can sample at a tasting. Thanks zvikar. Clear pale golden. Weak aroma of hay, grains and light caramel hints. Weird sweetish flavor with a bit of strange fruitiness, a bit of honey and cereals. Light-bodied and a bit fizzy.
