COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We condition the water for the beer with our proprietary Santorini basalt "Lava rock filter" and then blend the beer with flavourful ingredients of exotic hops, fragrant Santorini honey and Citrus Medica-a rare fruit brought to Greece from Persia by the army of Alexander the Great. For each 1€ of profit, Volkan will help reduce the Greek National debt by 50 eurocent.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Dark brown with dissipating tan head. Aroma of light roast malt. Taste same with subtle chocolate.

330ml bottle from Beer Revolution in Edmonton pours black in color with a finger of white head that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is light roasted grains and chocolate with some fruity notes. Taste is a chocolate malty sweetness with a grassy hop and roasted grain bitterness finishing with some citrus notes. Light to medium bodied with mild carbonation. Definitely this is the best Greek beer I have tried yet.

330ml bottle. Pours like dark brownish black with thin head that doesn’t last. Aroma is very smoky, slightly bitter. Really nice full mouth feel. Slightly smoky in the after taste. A bit of caramel too? Nice.

Bottle from beer-shop.gr, Athens. Dark brown with a tan creamy head. Sweetish with nuts, caramel, some fruit and coffee. Light and a bit boring. The finish was dry.

Pours a deep brown with lighter brown hue, two inches of khaki head. Sweet aroma, oaty/floury and metallic, some powdery chocolate. Carbonation somewhat low, thinner mouthfeel, clean finish. Taste is super oaty, chocolate malt is dominant, some camel and slight bit of metallic hops as well. Interesting light porter style.

Bottle. Dark black with a medium light brown head. Aroma has syrup, cocoa, honey and wood. Taste has coffee, citrus, some hop and wood. Some smoke on the aftertaste. Palate is watery and thin. Aftertaste is mild. Low-ish alcohol content isn’t a good fit here.

0,3l Flasche. Schwarzes Bier mit beiger Schaumkrone. Riecht nach Röstmalzen, schmeckt auch so. Ist als Weizen deklariert, davon schmecke ich nichts, geht eher als Schwarzbier durch,
