Borresteijn (584), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 8, 2008 Had this on tap @ in de Wildeman a few times. Dark ruby brown colour, big beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, brown sugar, yeast. Taste is sweet, dark fruits, a little yeast, somewhat dry finish. Nice mouthfeel, although the bottled version contains too much CO2, repressing the nice flavours a bit. JoeinUccle (689), Brussels, Belgium Apr 13, 2008 Strong, fruity, sweet but fairly dull brown ale. Drunk on tap at Chez Moeder Lambic. Looks gorgeous, a ruby-brown with tall, lasting beige head. Goes downhill from there. Relatively weak nose of cranberries, malt. Sweet flavor with fruity notes gets cloying as you drink more, very slight tartness, with a light bitterness and fruity tang on the finish. A bit thin and wet. Not bad, not interesting, not my style.
