3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap poured into a cheater pint. Orangey amber hue capped by a goo foamy head with good retention, lacing sticks to the side of the glass.
Scent is filled with crockery sweetness, light caramel, flowers, and light citrus.
Taste is pretty well balanced with the same profile as the nose, alcohol is slightly noticeable as it warms.
Mouth is slick with a slight dryingness. Not a sessionable beer.
I found this an interesting high abv take on an IPA. Almost a dipa but it lacks the bitterness to be considered one.

Transfer from BA review on 7-11-12-
Served on firkin in a 10 oz chalice glass
Appearance – Served a very hazy deep copper-almost brown color with almost no head at all.
Smell – The strongest aromas are of citrus hop and biscuit. Mixed with these are lighter aromas of caramel as well as some earthy and piney hop aromas.
Taste – Throughout the taste there is biscuit base with a lightly sweet caramel accompanying it. Hop flavors transition throughout the taste however, with the beginning there being a good dose of a slightly sweeter citrus and more earthy hop flavors. As the taste advances the citrus bitters some, transitioning from a tangerine like flavor to that of grapefruit. The earthy hop flavors intensify and some notes of pine enter the tongue more at the end of the taste. This is coupled with a light presence of alcohol coming in as well. Overall the transitions are quite good and with the alcohol at the end leaves a pleasant warming flavor on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is slightly above average in creaminess and as would be expected for a firkin, the carbonation level is low. The thicker body and lack of carbonation really allow all the hop flavors to soak into the tongue.
Overall – A rather tasty beer. It will be worth comparing to the bottled form to see how the changes in carbonation affect the overall taste profile.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a dark copper color and is cloudy in its appearance. Smells of malt and like a red style beer. Tastes sweet and malty...Not to the point of being too sweet, but close to that point.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
7/28/2011: 4 Seasons IPA (green cap)... Aroma: Mild blend of papaya, mango, banana, and pineapple with a hit of pine/resin. Appearance: Dirty and cloudy dull gold color; large, bubbly ivory-colored head; fluffy lacing. Flavor: Sharp toffee maltiness and citrusy/resin hoppiness; moderate bitterness with a soapy-floral finish that leaves my tongue a bit numb. Palate: Medium body; average mouthfeel. Overall: I like the amount of bitterness in this IPA and it’s fairly good except for the soapy perfume quality that rears its head and it seems to get worse the more I drink and the longer it sets...

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle shared by thebronze- thanks again, Kevin! Pours a somewhat cloudy amber-gold with a small off-white head. Struck me as a West Coast-style IPA because of the amount of citrus, pine, and herbs I was getting in this. Also caramel malts, grass, fruit juice, a bit of earth. Light-medium bodied, with a malty, juicy mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Surprised by how good this is.

Got Gas IPA
A: Golden yellow body... moderate white cap.. good retention and some lacing left behind.
S: Real soft pine/floral hop bitterness. Pleasant, but not terribly interesting.
T: Everything about this beer is smooth... almost too smooth... the pine/floral hops never really catch long enough to leave much of an impression. Delicate malt backbone.
M: Super smooth. Nice texture with the nitro-tap. Clean finish.
O: Easy to drink. Almost too easy with a lack of a flavor punch. Worth a try, but nothing stood out.
