4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured thick, black and oily with a small foamy brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet toasted caramel, chocolate and bread dough. The flavor was sweet and malty chocolate syrup, strong coconut, faint vanilla and anise. Very long sweet chocolate syrup and coconut finish. Full bodied. Fantastic.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Ok, I went into this not knowing anything about the beer and haven't been able to stop thinking about it after my first sip. Holy moly, this one's special. Silky, smooth, delicious bourbon and roasted malts start to finish. Boozy warmth greets my palate at each sip, massaging my taste buds with decadent flavors at every turn. Jesus. It's hard to describe how good this brew is, and this coming from a guy who thinks Pappy is quite overrated. Damn, this is incredible.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample from a 12oz bottle. #198, bottled 1-18-13. Dark brown, but clear color around the edge. Minimal off-white head. Big vanilla, lightly spicy, brownie-like nose. Some marshmallow. Warmth in the taste. Some very light burn, but not too bad at all. Bigger body, but dry in the finish. Light bite, for the suggested alcohol. Tasty stuff. A little hot, but it’s an enjoyable, high quality hotness

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
First rating! This one poured an inky black color into a voodoo snifter with avery small dark tan head. Aroma was lots of booze, bourbon, light oak, roasted malt, and dark chocolate, light dark fruit notes too. Flavro was very nice, much like bourbon soaked dark chocolate, mixed with some figs and cherries. Only downfall on the taste is this one is still pretty hot, but pretty much expected for an over 15% BA beer.
