2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
A-pours a hazy dark amber color with a dense slightly off white head leaving a nice lacing.
S-the nose is strong with lots of burnt brown sugar up front and candied fruit behind, notes of yeast and acetone seem to blend together with dark fruits of plum and black cherries in the back.
T-the taste is much of the same, burnt sugars, candied fruit, acetone and yeast, some dark candied fruits in the back. lots of sweetness with notes of heat and alcohol in the finish.
M-creamy, syrupy feel, full bodied and chewy with a moderate carbonation.
D-extremely sweet and very sugary, a little burnt sugar and not much else. also shows the heat a little, might do well with a little age but i wouldn’t expect much from this.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared by acrdz, thanks dude. Poured a clear golden color with a thin white head that diminished to a ring. Aroma of pale malts with some light fruitiness including orange and apricot, and a bit of yeastiness. Lightly tart, wheaty entry with some light hints of fruit (mainly orange) leading into a yeasty finish with some light spice. Moderate mouthfeel, prickly carbonation. Decent effort, but it needs some refinement to be truly enjoyable.

Hazy yellow pour with a small white head. Aroma of grains, spice, lemon, yeast, citrus, and faint candi sugar. The flavor is the same but adds notes of butter, bread, and banana. Sticky medium body with a fair amount of carbonation.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Had this on-tap at bocktown tonight. Served in a snifter.
A- Body is a minimally foggy golden yellow with lots of tiny bubbles rising to the top. Served with a 1.2 finger head which eventually fades to a thin collar. No lacing is left behind in the glass.
S-Lots of phenols along with grapes and maybe a hint of apples.
T- Very dry fruity flavors of white grapes and apples upfront with a subtle yeast backbone. The finish is dry and clean with a minimal phenolic bitterness and alcohol warmth cutting through.
P- Medium to high carbonation and dry phenolic body.
O- This is a pretty good beer but it drinks more like a white wine. Great transition beer for the wine drinkers. This might need a little time to settle down on the alcohol flavors and build complexity.
