4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at voodoo during release, pour is a nice pitch black, light head. Aroma is nice and roasty a bit sweet, taste is lots of chocolate, a bit of woody notes, a modest heat level from the peppers, not too much in there but it was nice. Definitely lots of chocolate and a bit roasty coffee, nice offering

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
651mL purple wax shared at Woodshop 8. Pours a clear, deep black. Nose is boss: really intense chili pepper, heavy Mexican dark chocolate, dark fudge. Spot on. Taste is spot on as well- excellent Mexican dark chocolate, beautiful chili pepper spice, cinnamon, vanilla, horchata, rich and intense. One of the best from Woodshop.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours midnight black with a soft bubbling head that hugs my glass. The aroma is heavy with vanilla and cinnamon. There is robust dark malt notes, sweet carmel malts, fruit brandy scents, and a pleasant heat from the peppers. In the flavor I picked up on carmel malts, chocolate bitter malts, cocoa, heat from the pepper, defined cinnamon spice, and a moderate level of vanilla flavor. Overall it blended perfectly, nothing is overwhelming. My palate wasn?t hit much considering the masked booze, cinnamon spice, and a pleasant heat from the peppers in the end. This is a must have for any stout fan.

This one poured a pretty much jet black color with a tan head. Aroma was chilies, fudge, marshmellow, and cinnamon. Flavor was similar, cinnamon was dialed down from the regi version, and more heat. Very reminiscent or Hunahpu. Great stuff.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Pours a deep brownish black without much head whatsoever. The aroma is of huge cinnamon and maybe some vanilla. Iím not really getting any of the Apple Brandy in the aroma. I would have loved a side-by-side. The taste is full of spice with a significant burn from the alcohol and the ghost peppers. A wonderfully warming beer.
