Waxed bomber shared at PUBíR backdoor area. Poured turbid dark straw. Nose was oaky brandy, apple, pear, hopcitrus. Tasted of brandy, apple, pear. Finished smooth, with more brandy and fruit notes.

Sampled at esbls. Kind of pink and almost clear. Huge alcohol aroma with sweetness. Also baked apples from Cracker Barrel. This tastes like booze. So hot. Just too hot for me.

Bottle # 053, generously shared by Seth. Light amber pour with a fleeting white head. Caramel apple nose. Outrageous apple brandy notes. Decent body. Terrible mouthfeel. Nothing but cheap apple brandy here...

Uhhh is this a mead? IT is pretty good, very brandy-forward, like boozy apple jiuice.

Looks like apple juice, light amber with a small head. The apple brandy is evident in the aroma along with some butterscotch and booze. The flavor has the same but is quite smooth.

Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a hazy orange-amber color with a trace foamy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was boozy apple cider and brandy. The flavor was boozy with tart apple cider, rum and yeast. Long boozy apple and rum finish. Moderately full bodied but undercarbonated. Overwhelmingly boozy. Ok.

Bottle shared at Danís Birthday Tasting (Lyons, IL). Pours a nice dulled golden amber hue, a gentle glow, mellow haziness dulls it a bit. Subtle carbonation, small frothy whitish head atop dies to a nice layer. Laces ok. Sticks around small. Aromas are a bit hot, some hairspray, with apple spirit oak, a touch harsh. Some vanilla. Some vanilla, bread, apples, mellow sweetness grows, a touch sticky, caramel and some more vanilla. Initial is a bit harsh, some vanilla, cereal grains, a bit oxidized. Some vanilla, gentle yeast, some crisp cereal and grainy elements. Bread, and dough, some vanilla. Middle is a touch thinned and bland, more mellow brandy compliment. Touches of gentle honey and honeycrisp apple. Not as sweet as anticipated, the barrel has done some good work. Backend is touches of warmth, tannic, and barrel. A firm apple brandy finish, not too hot but a bit thinner so it shows more. Ok. A bit harsh on the nose and on finish

Smells like apple brandy and booze, bigtime. Freshly peeled Fuji apples. Tastes like a spirit blended with beer; geez that's hot. I'm unconvinced the barrels they used were empty. Minimal (if any) resemblance to a Belgian Tripel. Smooths out as it warms. Interesting; not entirely sure I dislike (or like!) this.

Where to start with this one. This poured a hazy light orange color, much like cider, with a small white head. Aroma was a huge punch in the face of booze, pretty much straight apple brandy and light spice. Flavor was not as bad as aroma,. Somewhat interesting blend of caramel and mape liquor covered spicey apples. unique but hard to get through.
