Waxed bomber shared at PUB’R backdoor area. Poured turbid dark straw. Nose was oaky brandy, apple, pear, hopcitrus. Tasted of brandy, apple, pear. Finished smooth, with more brandy and fruit notes.

2014-08-16. Hazy amber body with a small beige head. Aroma is super boozy with apple brandy notes and alcohol. Flavour is similarly quite boozy, dry alcohol and woody apple brandy finish. Average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation. Okay, but the alcohol and barrel significantly dominate the character. Bottle at Campground Brewdown

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Ben. Slightly hazed amber body, the fizzly white head is completely gone within seconds, like a soda pop fizz. Aroma is nothing but green apple, pungent booze, mild nail polish remover, more apple, & more booze. Smells... rough around the edges. Tastes that way, too. Taste like a 50/50 mix of unpasteurized apple cider & straight up alcohol. Acetone-y. The brandy overtakes everything, & comes at you with an over-the-top intense sweetness which makes it even tougher to drink. Hot brandy, sweet apple cider, & rubbing alcohol. Thanks for the chance to try this, Ben, but it’s certainly not my jam. Nothing about this resembles a Tripel, either, lol.

Woodshed 3.0! Big thanks to dak for saving this whole series and sharing with us. Awesome!! Bottle #305 pours with a clear gold body that supports a weak off white head. The aroma offers up boozy mead like notes, sweet booze, coconut, pineapple and some brandy notes at the end of the draw. The taste is smooth with sugary sweet apricots and pineapple mixing with brandy booze and little else.

Gold pour. Tart apples, loads of booze, brandy. Hot and really not enjoyable.

Bottle shared @ Woodshed 3.0 by Dak himself! Heavy apple brandy influence...too heavy. Tart Granny Smith, sweet Macintosh, and crisp Fuji along with cocoa powder, caramel, and oak. Just not very good.

Pours mostly clear with a small tan head. Aroma is incredible, straight Zeiglers apple cider sweet and pleasant in the nose. Flavor is muted apples and a bit musty without the spices I was hoping to get from the style. Smooth for the barrel for sure though.

Sampled at esbls. Kind of pink and almost clear. Huge alcohol aroma with sweetness. Also baked apples from Cracker Barrel. This tastes like booze. So hot. Just too hot for me.

22oz bottle pours light gold with a small white head. Apple brandy aroma. Taste is the same.

Bottle # 053, generously shared by Seth. Light amber pour with a fleeting white head. Caramel apple nose. Outrageous apple brandy notes. Decent body. Terrible mouthfeel. Nothing but cheap apple brandy here...

Uhhh is this a mead? IT is pretty good, very brandy-forward, like boozy apple jiuice.
